How To Organize Paper Bags And Reusable Shopping Bags

This is the way to keep paper bags and reusable shopping bags organized and always in my small apartment.

For our planet to get better, we all know we need to reduce the use of plastic bags every day. More and more stores have also adopted a good method of using paper bags instead of plastic bags as carriers when buying goods. And, many also offer reusable cloth or canvas bags that are more durable and come in many different designs and sizes!

Although I always try to bring my own reusable bag with me when I shop as much as possible, sometimes I forget and end up taking a bag or two home with me. I don't throw away paper bags immediately after taking them home, as I might need them again sometimes, and I don't throw away reusable shopping bags for obvious reasons. Over time, I've accumulated a lot of bags, so I decided to leave some space to store and organize them so they don't get messy.

Flatten and hide handles

To ensure maximum storage space, I first flattened out each bag. I like to keep the handles in the bag so they don't get tangled up with the other bags when they're tightly tied together. This way, when I want to take out a bag, it will be much cleaner and easier for me.

Paper bags are stored in the same way as reusable cloth or canvas bags. If the bags are too high or too wide, I fold them so that all the bags end up tall enough to hold the containers.

Keep upright and align according to their group

I placed all the bags in a large plastic container and arranged them according to their type. I made them stack upright rather than horizontally so that I could easily find what I need when I need it.

If your containers are large and you don't have shopping bags like mine, use bookends to make sure they stay upright and don't lean on their sides. Once the bags are no longer upright, they become untidy, and the bags that lie flat at the bottom are forgotten because it is troublesome to remove them.

I keep the container in our family shelter (aka bomb shelter) on the lowest shelf so I can easily see the bag and remove it easily if needed. This method of storage has worked well for me so far.

Magazine rack

The magazine case is already ready to hold paper, so there is a seamless transition to paper bag storage. Folding paper bags fit perfectly inside. You can stuff them into the cabinet, install them on the outside of the refrigerator or inside the cabinet with some command bars.If you like DIY, make your own wooden storage box.

Mail box

Mailboxes are used to install paper bags, so they are perfect for storing paper bags. This means you can easily hide the paper bag in your cabinet or kitchen. You can place the folded paper bag neatly in the trash can and hang your keys, dog leash and light coat on the hook.

Clothing hangers

Paper bag storage can be solved with a coat hanger. Pick up the clip-on hangers you use for your pants and skirts. Use it to hang paper bags from a hook in a pantry or cabinet or from a stick in a closet.
